Nightlight with their own hands - instructions for making quality unique nightlights

Night light fixtures are simply indispensable in a room where a small child lives. The baby will not be afraid of the dark if his bed will gently glow with a night-light. Adults also love nightlights. They give a room a cozy feeling. In stores you can find a variety of nightlights. But still made his own hands lamp, just be exclusive and the most interesting.

Paper night light

A night light made of paper is made with an awl and heavy cardboard. How to make a night light with your own hands? To begin with, the cardboard should be placed on the table. It is better to put under it a cutting board or something similar. A drawing is put on the sheet, and then holes are pierced along the drawn lines.

The perforated material is twisted into a cylinder. Inside you can put a socket with a light bulb, LED strip or Christmas lights. The light will penetrate through the holes and draw light patterns on the walls of the room.

Night light "starry sky"

In a similar technique, you can perform a night light projecting stars and the moon on the ceiling of the walls. To do this, you will need:

  • A glass jar;
  • Needlepoint;
  • Tinfoil;
  • Chopping board;
  • A lid;
  • Scotch tape;
  • Flashlight or garland.

The drawing of stars and constellations should be drawn on folded food foil and, putting it on the board, pierce holes with an awl, as the previous instruction.

Place the ready foil with the drawing inside the jar along its walls, fasten it with tape.

Put a light source in the jar and cover it with a lid, if the night light is to be plugged in, make a hole in the lid for the wire beforehand.

Turn the jar upside down and enjoy the starry sky. Especially children and teens will like this night light.

Nightlight with LEDs

It is very easy to make a night light with his own hands out of LEDs. Since LEDs do not heat, they can be combined with any material. You can cut out any figure from cardboard or wood, attaching it to the wall and place the LED strip behind it. Figure will be beautifully lit and illuminate the room. The more tape you attach, the brighter the night light.

If you attach a strip of LEDs to a battery, you get a portable night light. LEDs can be put in a base of plastic or rubber (an old toy, for example). Needlewomen can make a lampshade for a night light from papier-mache, yarn or starchy fabric.

Night light "cloud"

If you wonder how to make an unusual night light with your own hands, make a luminous cloud. To do this, you need to prepare:

  • A wire frame;
  • Thin white fabric;
  • Medical absorbent cotton;
  • LED tape;
  • Thread;
  • Glue.

A simple lampshade is made from a round or oval wire frame and fabric. Inside the lampshade placed LEDs. At the top of the lampshade is attached a thread, which will be attached to the night light on the ceiling.

Instead of a thread, you can take a fishing line, then it will not be visible at all and the cloud will float in the air. Glue large pieces of absorbent cotton to the fabric of the lampshade. It is better to fluff the cotton with your hands, so that the cloud was volumetric and looked like a real one.

Night light from a garland

If you did not remove the Christmas decorations in time, feel free to use them to create a night light. In addition to the garland, you will need a glass jar. Simply put the garland folded randomly in the jar and turn it upside down. If you glue phosphorescent stickers in the form of stars or crescents on the jar, such a design will be pleasing to the eye even after it is turned off.

Be careful, some of the garland can get hot, so watch the temperature of the glass jar. If it has become very warm, it's time to turn off your homemade night light.

If there is leftover scraps of Christmas tinsel, you can put them in a jar and then the lights will shimmer in different colors.

  3. Use glue and wire to fasten the LEDs along the foil strip;
  4. Insert the acrylic and glass into the slots;
