Stylized images of the sun always cause a positive reaction of children and adults. The image of the luminary is associated with warmth, the spring awakening of nature and a pleasant summer holiday.

Especially cheerful are handicrafts in the form of a cheerful, bright sun at the end of winter, after a boring cold, when from ancient times people celebrated Shrovetide and prepared for the arrival of spring.

At this time, many kindergartens and schools hold competitions on the theme of folk festivals and children are asked to do homemade handicrafts of the sun, which the youngest children learn to do together with older family members.

The face of the luminary can be drawn with paints and markers, both on the inside of the plate, and on the outside. The rays in the form of hands, drawn and cut out of cardboard, are attached to the edge of the plate with a strip of glue.

When pasting applications on a wall or cardboard, rubber gloves in appropriate bright colors can be used instead of cardboard palms. Work with colored cocktail straws can be interesting.

CDs for making sunshine

Used computer disks are suitable for making crafts of the sun in kindergarten or junior high school. It is advisable to choose two discs with a yellow hue, which are stacked together with the sides inscribed, so that the shimmering coatings are on the outside.
